Small actions together give a lot
Reputation, career path, how others perceive you at work, tiny moments and nuances that seem insignificant, in the aggregate, can be of great importance. Do not ignore small flaws, do not close your eyes regularly to seemingly insignificant mistakes, because each of them reduces confidence in you and the belief that you will cope with something important. Do not be lazy to spend a little time to check the result of your work, or finish a small piece of the task before your boss or one of your colleagues gets to this. Even the smallest nuances that may seem insignificant to you, in the end, can destroy all your efforts.
Look for opportunities where the result is success or failure.
No middle ground. You will not succeed if you just quietly do your job. You will succeed if the result of your work goes beyond. Real experience can only be obtained in successful companies or in companies that do everything wrong. In both cases, one year of work in them will cost five years in an average company.
No exact career path exists
Your career will not smoothly move from point A to point B, whether it is horizontal or vertical. You must have both ups and downs. If you take off, this does not mean that you have achieved everything and then everything will be only good. A fall does not mean that everything is lost.
Love and respect your social circle, and then he will love and respect you
Pay in advance - do good deeds and help people. Your social circle and acquaintances can fully determine your success and well-being.
Your skills will never be enough to take a big step forward
Everyone who holds significant positions has a wide range of skills. If you want to move up, simply diligent performance of your duties will not be enough. To go to the next level, you need something more - work that is not related to your core responsibilities. Nobody will tell you what exactly needs to be done, you must understand it yourself, decide for yourself what will be better for your organization. If someone tells you that the initiative is punishable, it will indicate the failures and, probably, the mistakes of this person, and not that this is impossible. You will have mistakes too, where without them, but this is not a reason to sit and do nothing, not strive for anything. Define metrics, goals and ways to achieve them. Learn, do someone else's work, and then you will succeed. Everything else is an excuse.
